Artist Mission Statement

What does that even mean?  Right now, I’m taking two science classes, a math class, and a communications class.  Some would say that my current schedule lacks any real imagination or exposure to art, resulting in a sterile, mundane repetition which builds up any creativity like a dam.  Sometimes I listen to music that helps me write things down and be honest with myself but I find that I lack any real motivation to do something that can physically show something artistic.  For example, I used to take photography classes and I loved them.  Currently, I don’t even think my camera has working batteries in it but then again even if it did I wouldn’t be using it.  I want to get more serious about taking pictures.  When I converted photos from my home P.C. to my new computer before I went to college, I spent hours looking through everything.  Four years of highs school, documented by thousands of pictures of people I love, places I’ve been, and experiences I’ll never forget.  Now, I feel that I rarely, if ever, use a camera and I really dislike that change in behavior.  I think that I may just need to start being more diligent about bringing my camera everywhere I go.  I feel like I used to have my own style and way photography.  I would really like to get more into that in the near future.  This is just me psuedo-ranting while I eat pretzels and watch Seinfeld like any other afternoon/evening.

I think I just miss being good at photography and I would like to regain whatever strengths I had.

Lady Gaga Saves Polaroid?

Seriously?  Lady Gaga is now a Creative Director for Polaroid and she will be releasing her own (bizzare) cameras which means the film is coming back too!  Yeeeeeeuh.  (Stolen from NPSH’s blog).
